EVENT NAME: King of Severograd Construction
LOCATION: Severograd and surrounding area
DURATION: 90 minutes
OBJECTIVE:
Competing teams will attempt to take and hold the construction building for the duration of the event. The last team remaining inside the construction building at the end of the 90 minutes is declared the winner.
RULES (GENERAL):
-Teams will be no larger than 6, and will be limited to one per group/faction. Send your best!
-Redshirting is allowed, especially for smaller groups.
-incorporation of independent players into a group/faction’s team is allowed, and especially encouraged in the case of smaller groups.
-Each team will wear either a unique armband or uniform, usually corresponding to their parent group/faction. Please make every attempt to wear your standard uniform for identification purposes – this event can generally be considered OoC, but we want to make every attempt to avoid false flagging (and multiple teams in full uniform will be very impressive!).
-Multiple accounts or running back to the event is strictly prohibited, and will result in disqualification. One life and you’re out.
-The event will start on time, regardless of whether your whole team is ready. Make sure to leave plenty of time beforehand.
-lastly, and I cannot stress this enough – this event is for pride and enjoyment – no prizes are being offered at this time except teamspeak icons. Please refrain from any attempts to exploit loopholes in the rules out of respect for your fellow DUG members.
RULES (SPECIFIC):
-There will be an exclusion zone that teams will not be allowed to enter before the event begins- any teams/players found within this zone before 16:00 EST will be disqualified AND excluded from the next iteration of this event.
-Teams may set up in any location outside of the exclusion zone at any time they please before the event begins. A server-wide ceasefire will be in place from the addition of the server password 30 minutes before the start until the start signal. Any violation of this ceasefire will result in disqualification and possible exclusion from further events.
-To claim the construction building, an attacking team must breach and clear the building, and then declare to the referee via VoIP or text message that they are in control of it. At this point, unless an active defender also declares that they are in control the attacking team captures the building, and the takeover is announced by the referees.
-The “cap zone” within the construction building will be the southern room on the second floor of the building. Any attempt to capture should be made from within this area. any attempt from outside of this area will be ignored.
-In the case of two or more teams claiming the construction building at the end of the 90 minute period, a fight to the death scenario will ensue, in which the last team standing is victorious.
-There will be several referees in and above the compound wearing pink raincoats, no headgear and no pants for super mega ultra visibility. PLEASE DO NOT IMPERSONATE THE REFEREES. It’s a dick move.
-The crane and western chimney are OUT OF BOUNDS to allow use by the referees. DO NOT under any circumstances enter the crane or western chimney. DO NOT under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES shoot players on these raised positions, as they will all be referees and spectators.
-In the interest of fair competition, the use of tents is prohibited. The use of any other item is permitted.
-Start and end times will be announced via 87.8Khz and server message. DO NOT enter the exclusion zone until the start has been called.
-When the construction building changes hands, referees will broadcast the name of the group currently in control of the building on 87.8Khz.
-The referees will film and observe the event, and their say will be final if there is no clear winner.
SIGNUP DETAILS:
-Team leaders should comment in the Reddit thread below with the name of the group/faction they are competing under, and the armband that they wish to use. Members of the team should reply to their leader’s comment to indicate their participation.
-Those interested in spectating should also leave a comment. Space for spectators and we will operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
-Those interested in refereeing should contact the event organizer /u/Jallenplaysthegames or u/Garfledop privately to discuss. Demand for extra referees is fairly limited.
